How to Move the Windows 11 Taskbar to the Left (Windows 10 Style)
Windows 11 centers the taskbar icons by default, but you can easily change the alignment so everything appears on the left—similar to Windows 10. This is a built-in option and does not require any additional software.
Follow the steps below:
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open Taskbar Settings
Right-click any empty space on the taskbar
Select Taskbar settings
2. Open Taskbar Behavior Options
Scroll to the bottom of the Taskbar settings page
Expand the section called Taskbar behaviors
3. Change the Alignment
Find Taskbar alignment
Click the dropdown menu
Select Left
Your taskbar icons, including the Start menu, will instantly shift to the left—matching the classic Windows 10 layout.
Optional: Additional Windows 10-Style Adjustments
Show Labels / Don’t Combine (if available on your build)
Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar
Expand Taskbar behaviors
Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never
This gives you separate, labeled taskbar buttons like Windows 10.
